Clogs

I LOVE wood clogs. There's something inherently sort of ugly pretty about them.  They never date and I loved how this girl styled hers with black ankle socks.  I love how she balanced out the slim lower half with a boxy denim jacket and slouchy knit.  The adorable little horse bag keeps the focus on her overall silhouette.

The best way to wear clogs (I like this or this one) is like the above with leggings or with a loose flowy skirt so you have plenty of free movement to navigate the pavements.

Shed Factors

It went from frigid this morning to mild in one day. A black fuzzy knit like this under a leather sleeved army jacket is a great shed piece.

Crushing On Cobalt

I am obsessed with cobalt blue right now so it's no wonder I took this picture of Zuzanna.  Her bag is by Chloe.

I would never have thought to layer my leather jacket under a blazer - until now.  A great layering idea.

Old School

Since the trend in all things neon and high tops, I think there's been a renewed interest in wearing any classic trainer in a bright colour.

Even I've been looking at old school styles or go to somewhere online like here and get yourself a pair of no nonsense ones in a bright colour.  Done.

The New Wedge

Some of the most creative dressers are the local artists selling their work on the streets in New York.

I didn't want to interrupt this girl talking because I loved exactly how she looked here.  High tops are pretty much everywhere now and are a welcome addition to stay comfortable while still feeling stylish.

Gladiator

Again I did one of those sprints since she was walking soooo fast but her sandals (even from behind) looked gorgeous especially teamed with harem pants with rolled cuffs.  "Shall I take off the headphones?"  I told her to keep them on for the photo.  They're the perfect pop of colour and only added to her look don't you think?

The Details

I love spotting someone in predominantly black whenever it is done this well.  The quilted sleeves, the sheer skirt, the textured jacket collar. As always, it's the little details that make the look.

I had to ask: Her shoes are by Celine.  At first glance I thought they were vintage.

Add textured leather:  Update your jacket with a quilted one like this.

A Line

I love A line skirts. It's like little girl grown up. Her skirt is vintage.
